Phase 1 desktop study

Phase 1 desktop study

We research the background history of your site, carry out a visit, and then risk assess the information to determine if there is a potential for the site to be contaminated. This is usually the first stage of the process, and can often be all that is needed.
Phase 2 intrusive site investigations

Phase 2 intrusive site investigations

Site investigations involve collecting samples of soil, water and gas from the site. This can involve trial pits and/or boreholes. Soils are lab tested to confirm if chemicals are at safe levels for the development planned. A detailed report is produced suitable for both the expert and the layperson.
Remedial design and remedial works

Remedial design and remedial works

If contamination is confirmed we can design how best to deal with this to allow development to proceed. There are various approaches to this and the landfilling of soil is not always necessary.
UKWIR pipe specification reports

UKWIR pipe specification reports

We can produce the desktop study and the soil report for Scottish Water to UKWIR specification to support your application for a drinking water supply to your site. This is now mandatory for all brownfield sites.
